Looking for places to start your next solo adventure? I believe that a woman’s place is wherever she wants to be. While there may be some destinations that are safer than others, the world is not as scary as some might think. There are plenty of places where you can feel safe on your own. Check out this list of 10 Safe Destinations for Solo Female Travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Iceland<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Iceland has the some of the lowest crime rates on the planet and is ranked number one in the Global Peace Index. It’s also one of the best destinations for solo girls in search of female adventure travel. There are countless reasons to visit Iceland, but it\u2019s her natural beauty that steals the show. There are lots of activities you can do there. You can hike a glacier and take a bath at the beautiful Blue Lagoon! Its capital, Reykjav\u00edk, is very charming, with many attractions and a busy nightlife. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Switzerland<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Located in the heart of Europe, Switzerland is a country full of cultural diversity, a wide variety of attractions, and cosmopolitan landscapes that fade into breathtaking natural ones. It’s also the seventh most peaceful country in the world, according to the Global Peace Index.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. New Zealand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

New Zealand was featured here before on my post about 8 destinations for your first post-quarantine trip<\/a>. It’s considered the fourth safest country in the world according to a survey by the Institute for Economics and Peace. There you\u2019ll come across some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. North Island offers active volcanoes, culture and history. South Island offers wildlife, wineries and glacial valleys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Australia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Australia is home to some of the most diverse wildlife and landscapes in the world. You can rent a car and explore places like Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Canada<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In\u00a0Canada you\u2019ll find yourseld surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscapes your eyes have ever seen,\u00a0including forests, snow-covered mountains, countrysides, and lakes. Also, Canadians have a reputation for being the friendliest people in the world and, while traveling alone there, you\u2019ll see why. Canada is also home to many of the world’s\u00a0safest cities for solo female travel!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. The Netherlands<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There you can admire the beautiful tulip fields filled with vibrant colors or take a relaxing canal cruise around the city. You can also explore the beautiful landscape by bike. Tulips are my favorite flowers. Personally, I would wait for the tulip season, from mid-March to mid-May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Japan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Japan ranks sixth among the most peaceful countries in the world, according to the Global Peace Index. If you\u2019re a solo traveler, you don\u2019t have to worry about pickpocketing or walking alone at night as much as you would in other countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Belgium<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Belgium is known for its historic sites and tourist attractions. In Brussels, you can enjoy the medieval architecture, while in Bruges, you’ll find a landscape worthy of a movie scene. Also, study abroad programs are pretty popular, making Belgium a great destination for young girls to meet other travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Austria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The International Women’s Travel Center placed Austria fourth on their ranking of the best countries for women traveling alone. It’s home to majestic mountains and opulent palaces. But beyond that, its modern cities are proof of how easily Austria combines the contemporary with the historic. You can visit Vienna where all the great museums are gathered. You can also visit Hallstatt. It\u2019s on my wish list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. France<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

France has closed almost 80% of its gender gap, placing it in the Top 20 in the world and also in the Top 20 for adventure, thanks to its pleasant climate, the beauty of the landscape, and how friendly the locals are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
