5 useful apps for travelers

In this post, I’m going to share with you 5 useful apps for travelers. You need to have them if you’re planning to travel. Take a look!

1. Booking.com

Booking.com is a website and mobile app for booking accommodation. Its mission is “to make it easier for everyone to experience the world”. As one of the world’s largest travel marketplaces Booking.com connects millions of travellers all over the world. That’s my favorite way to find where to stay and book amazing hotels or homes.

2. Airbnb

It’s an online platform for rental accommodations. Airbnb started by connecting travelers with people who have rooms or houses to rent. You can book amazing houses for a lower price and it’s the best way to save money. The app now also offers tours, classes, workshops and restaurant reservations.

3. Google Flights

I know that a lot of people use the Skyscanner app to book their flights but to be honest I prefer to use Google Flights. It’s not an app but it’s an online flight booking search service that allows you to do a quick check of airline tickets for your flights. Google Flights lets you explore destinations based on price and dates too. And you also have the option of receiving an alert when the ticket price drops. That’s how I book my flights.

4. Google Maps

Google Maps turned 15 years old. I’d be lost without it (did you get the joke?). Seriously, what was life like before Google? It’s the most complete web mapping service ever. It offers satellite imagery, aerial photography, street maps, street view, route planning for traveling by foot, car, bicycle, air and public transportation. What else could you ask for?

5. HERE WeGo

Here WeGo is a free app that makes city navigation effortless regardless of whether you need a taxi, public transport or driving on your own. I like to download the map of my destination to my phone in advance, so the app keeps working even where there’s no network signal. That way, you’ll never get lost.
